Taiseikan is a complete Martial Arts system that encompasses Shorin Ryu Karate, Shinto Yoshin Jiujitsu and Okinawan Kobudo, as well as techniques acquired from Miyama Ryu Jiujitsu, USA Goju Ryu, and Watai.  The aim of Taiseikan is to provide students to improve their overall state of mind, body and spirit, Shin Gei Tai.

         All students are tested separately in Taiseikan Shorin Ryu Karate and Shinto Yoshin Ryu Jiujitsu.

         Karate Kata: Fukyugata Ichi, Fukygata Ni, Pinan Shodan- Godan, Naihanchi Shodan- Sandan, Ananku, Wankan, Rohai,Wanshu, Passai, Gojushiho, Chinto and Kusanku. From Goju Ryu Sanchin, Sepai and Seiunchin.

         The Karate curriculum also incorporates Yakusoku Kumite, Renzoku Kumite, Jiyu Kumite and Kime No Kata.

         Kobudo: The art of Okinawan weaponry is taught at Taiseikan.  The weapons taught are the Bo, Sai, Nunchaku and Eku (Oar). The Kobudo curriculum has sixteen kata that were acquired through years of study with various Ryuha.

         Jiujitsu Kime No Kata, ShimeWaza (Chokes)  Nage Waza (Throws or Projections) , Gyaku Te Waza (joint reversal techniques), Osae Waza(pinning techniques), Hazushi Waza (seizure escaping techniques) and Ne Waza (ground grappling).

         The Jiujitsu curriculum is taught separately.  However, both arts incorporate the use of Kokyu waza (breathing techniques) and stress the use of Taisabaki and natural movement.
